As announced in the two previous circulars, our next club event will be the annual World Beetle Day Car Show.  In celebrating this historic date, V-Dubs Club Malta will be joining other VW clubs around the world to commemorate the 22nd June, which is considered to be the birthday of the Volkswagen Beetle.

The show is being held in the parking area opposite the ice cream kiosk at Bahar ic-Caghaq.  The event starts at 09.30 with the arrival of the participating cars.  These will be classified in accordance with the prepared categories, which also provide for the various water-cooled vehicles that are increasingly turning up for our events.  The categories will be as follows:

     Mk 1 & 2 Original Water-cooled                Mk 1 & 2 Modified Water-cooled
     Mk 3 & over Original Water-cooled            Mk 3 & over Modified Water-cooled
      
Show and Voting time is being officially set between 10.30 and 11.30 during which members and visitors may vote for their preferred cars.  Voting will close at 11.30 am when the votes cast will be counted.  Results will be declared at the end of the event, at circa 12:30.

As in previous years, the event is open to all V-Dubs Club members as well as non-members who may participate against payment of the membership fee or against payment of a Lm 3 participation fee.  As usual, members will not pay any participation fee.

A presentation ceremony will be held at a future event that will be held shortly.  The date and venue will be announced at a later date.  The event should hopefully be over by 12.30 at the very latest.
